Eleni Kalopesa

Eleni (Elli) Kalopesa has studied Agriculture with Crop Management in Harper Adams University College, United Kingdom and holds two M.Sc. Degrees: M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University, the Netherlands and M.Sc. in Hydrobiology and Aquacultures from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She further holds a PMP® certification as a Project Management Professional. She has over 20 years of experience in the management of soil & water natural resources. She’s participated in nearly 60 research projects on environmental indicators, especially water quality and soil spatial explicit indicators. As a Senior Researcher and Portfolio Manager, she led European projects utilizing Earth Observation data for digital agri-food services using Machine Learning and AI. She also has strong communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
