Anastasia Kritharoula is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Soil, Water, and Ecosystem Sciences at the University of Florida, specializing in the integration of soil science, artificial intelligence, and remote sensing. She holds a Master Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, where her studies emphasized Large Language Models and multimodal retrieval methods. Her current research focuses on developing AI-driven approaches for soil and ecosystem monitoring, with particular interest in spectral analytics and multimodal data fusion. She works on building unified, foundation-model frameworks capable of harmonizing diverse soil spectral datasets and integrating Earth-observation signals to improve large-scale assessments of soil properties and ecosystem services. Her broader goal is to advance interpretable, data-rich AI systems that support sustainable land management, environmental resilience, and accessible soil-health evaluation tools for researchers, practitioners, and producers.
